An escape room played entirely through a terminal.

You are locked in an isolation chamber with one console and a 60 minute purge timer. The way out runs through real machines from fifty years of computing: a 1977 PDP-11, an Apple II BBS, Usenet in 1988, the early web, and beyond.

Every era is a hacking puzzle built from the tools of its day, and what you take from one machine is what gets you into the next. Every command you type is period accurate. If you have ever used ed in anger you will feel at home. If you have not, the machines will teach you.
